HISTORY AND CUISINE
The history of Riondet goes back to the summer of 1978 when our father Ivano, then a youthful twenty-year-old, set out on his bar / restaurant adventure assisted by grandmother Maria, who helped him out by working in the kitchen.
In 1980 Ivano married our mother Paola Collomb who, since leaving school, had been working alongside her parents and sisters at La Lisse.
With our support, Lo Riondet has been forging ahead for over forty years, conserving the tradition of simple, wholesome dishes that are characteristic of mountain cuisine.
Our family has always been the heart and soul of this home: generation follows generation and, with the added the enthusiasm of us children, we continually endeavour to improve the quality of our restaurant while conserving the local traditions of the Valley of La Thuile.
